Seeking two female identifying actors presenting ages 20-50.
Rehearsals 2-3 times a week March 14-April 2
Tech/Dress April 4-7
Shows April 8, 9, and 10 at 7:30 pm
Rehearsals will take place in the West End Nashville.
Performances will be at The Coffeehouse in Downtown Franklin
Instructions for Auditions:
Please create a self-tape of a 1-2 minute contemporary comedic monologue.
Email us with the subject line “CWC Audition” at littlethistletheatreco@gmail.com with a link to your video audition, your name and pronouns, a resume, and a photo of yourself that shows your personality (Please do not send us professional headshots). Auditions are due by 11:59 pm February 26th. No auditions will be accepted after this date.
Callbacks will be held February 28 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm via Zoom in 15 minute appointments. If you cannot attend this callback, the director will send you an excerpt from the script to self tape.
Character Breakdowns:
Maude Minks (20-50): a stereotypical housewife, from upstate New York uptight, tidy, creature of habit
Hannah Mae Bindler (20-50): boisterous, loud, a Texas girl with the belief that bigger is always better
Show Summary (as presented by Concord Theatricals):
This two-character comedy takes place in suburban Westchester County, New York kitchen of Maude Mix, who is having a tough day: her husband is off on a weekend spree with his secretary and she can't get rid of the pesky neighbor who has just moved up from Texas. Hannah Mae Bindler badgers Maude into friendship and the two eventually join forces against their errant and erring husbands. This long running Off-Broadway hit starred Susan Sarandon and Eileen Brennan and features terrific roles which may be played by actresses from twenty to fifty.
**COVID-19 Precautions:
Our productions follow strict COVID-19 protocols. All actors must provide their vaccine card upon hire, and the second vaccine must have been received at least two weeks prior to the rehearsal start date. Masks must be worn throughout rehearsals and a negative COVID-19 test provided prior to the first dress rehearsal in order to de-mask for the remainder of the run. Thistle will also look out for the actors’ safety by requiring all crew, audience members, and other staff to wear a mask when attending rehearsals and/or performances.

**Trigger Warnings and Intimacy/Combat Notifications:
This script contains no displays of physical intimacy or major combat sequences. Although, the director may add minimal combat sequences at her discretion with the assistance of a choreographer approved by our human resources manager.
